At First Love Tattoo, we are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming experience for all clients, regardless of physical or digital ability. We believe that the art of tattooing should be accessible to everyone, and we are continually working to improve both our studio and our online presence.

Digital Accessibility Commitment (Our Website)

 

We are dedicated to maintaining a website that is as accessible as possible. Our goal is to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized benchmark for web accessibility.

 

Our Efforts Include:

 

  • Navigation: Ensuring the entire site can be navigated using only a keyboard.

  • Readability: Providing sufficient color contrast between text and background for users with low vision.

  • Alternative Text: Including descriptive alternative text (alt text) for all meaningful images and photographs of our tattoo work, allowing screen reader users to understand the visual content.

Physical Accessibility Commitment (Our Studio)

 

We recognize that our unique, private studio environment may present certain challenges, but we are committed to making reasonable accommodations to serve all clients.

 

What We Currently Offer:

 

  • Studio Entry: Our main entrance is [Describe the entrance, e.g., on ground level with no steps, or requires one small step up, etc.]. We are happy to provide assistance upon arrival.

  • Tattooing Area: The space where the tattooing takes place is spacious and has wide doorways to accommodate mobility devices]. Our artists use adjustable tables and chairs that can be adapted to various needs.

  • Restroom: Our client restroom is ground floor and easily navigable and is fully ADA-compliant.

  • Seating: We offer various seating options in our waiting area for comfort.

 

How We Accommodate Clients:

 

We understand that standard furniture or processes may not work for everyone. Please inform Juan Nava (Owner) or Tracie Juel (Assistant) during the booking process if you require specific accommodations, such as:

  • Assistance navigating the entry or seating.

  • A specific type of chair or position for the tattoo session.

  • Needing a service animal (please notify us in advance).

  • Any sensory sensitivities (e.g., preference for a quieter time slot or adjustments to music/lighting).
